The Cathars Are Returning

The Cathars Are Returning

The Cathars are waking me up in the middle of the night.

Who are the Cathars? Well, the history about them is piecemeal and unreliable, mostly because they were almost completely exterminated by the Roman Catholic Church. And, as you know, the exterminators write the history.

So intuitive research and 4 am channeling is what I have to go on. Read on, take what fits for you and leave the rest.

The Cathars were a group of spiritually sovereign Gnostic Christians who lived in the Middle Ages in parts of southern France, Italy, and Spain.

The Cathars didn’t think they needed an intercessory in the form of a priest to contact their own Divinity. They believed in reincarnation and the transmigration of souls. They taught illiterate people to read, and shared their own sacred writings with everyone, at a time when the Catholic church would only let selected wealthy people read their version of the Bible. The Cathars had women as teachers and adepts.

Plus, and this was a big no-no, they followed the teachings of Mary Magdalene in France, after the Resurrection, teaching what they called “The Way of Love”, based on Yeshua’s original ministry. And they thought Magdalene was a spiritual teacher in her own right.

So right there you can see a bunch of reasons the Catholic Church wanted them dead. The Cathars also apparently got very popular. Way too much competition for the Holy Roman Church.

There was one single day in 1209, (July 22nd to be precise), when it is said that 20,000 humans were massacred in the city of Beziers, France. Arnoud Amalrc, a henchman of the then-Pope Innocent III, wrote:

“Indeed, because there is no strength nor is there cunning against God, while discussions were still going on with the barons about the release of those in the city who were deemed to be Catholics, the servants and other persons of low rank and unarmed attacked the city without waiting for orders from their leaders.

To our amazement, crying “to arms, to arms!”, within the space of two or three hours they crossed the ditches and the walls and Béziers was taken. Our men spared no one, irrespective of rank, sex or age, and put to the sword almost 20,000 people. After this great slaughter the whole city was despoiled and burnt, as divine vengeance miraculously raged against it.[6]”

So that was 1209. In 1244 following an 8-or-so month siege at Montsegur, over a hundred Cathars were given the choice to either convert to Catholicism or be burned. They chose their spiritual sovereignty and integrity, and walked laughing and singing into the flames.

They knew they’d be back. Their principle of the equality of all humans in the sight of God would be back. Their belief that sacredness is for all, even women and peasants of all skin tones. And that each human has their own unique connection to God/dess/Whatever you call it.

Then, in August of 1321, an educated Cathar named Guillaume Belibaste was said to be the last Cathar immolated by the mercenaries paid by the Catholic Church.

As he was burning, he declared a prophecy, which to all accounts is:

Al cap dels sèt cent ans, verdejara lo laurèl.” (In the language of Occitan.)

Rough translation:

The laurel will flourish again in 700 years, and we will return!”

The Laurel bush was the symbol of immortality and love. So this meant that the Cathars and their principles will return.

It’s now 700 years later. 1321-2021.

So, the Cathars are returning.

In the middle of the night, at least for me. They “told” me to offer small intimate Tribes, telling their stories, helping open the portal for others to connect with the sacred, egalitarian, sovereign spiritual frequencies. Those groups are, so far, amazing and heartening, and moving the needle in human consciousness toward unconditional love.

It’s pretty miraculous. Are you Called to join us? Check it out and sign up for notifications of these Tribes.

See you there if you arrive. . .

This is the Great Lesson of Our Time

This is the Great Lesson of Our Time

“Since the time of Christ, through the fall of the Roman Empire, and rise of the Middle Ages, into the modern age, we’ve been undergoing a two-thousand-year shamanic initiation, sinking deeper and deeper into the depths to catalyze a profound awakening we could never have gained had we remained lightly floating above it all.

We’ve been wrenched through convulsions of the deep to shake us out of illusion and SWITCH ON OUR INNER LIGHTS.

We have our work cut out for us, because in the age now completing, humanity lost its ability to draw upon internal resources sufficient to match external pressure.

We got snagged in a modern illusion where existence seems infinitely distant, complex, and bigger than yourself. That makes it easy to believe that the massive problems of our time are too enormous for anyone to fix.

The ancient Greeks started us down this track, but we followed it with a vengeance until we got so lost in the outer that the inner became a vague rumor. If you view the challenges facing the world today from the purely external mindset of the times, you’ll flatten like a flounder.

But the gift of having spawned a completely external existence is that we can release that project now and move on.

When the world ends and you face it without flinching, without diminishing, without succumbing to the Woe-is-me Wrongness of It All, the long-term project of mapping our internal floor becomes the great restoration of our time.

The reason this is so challenging, and why it’s taking so long, is that until you gain a radical love presence, the world hardly looks like any place you’d want to bring the totality of your existence into.

It rather looks like a place you want to hurry up and get through before something grabs you from below and keeps you there. This is a very powerful illusion, which fails to consider one important truth: the main reason the world looks that way is that you haven’t yet brought the enormous transformative force of your full magical presence into it.

You haven’t broken through your own conditioned resistance and come into the heart of the world. You’re still dallying in the shadows, rummaging around the closet without pulling the light cord, so of course, everything looks dark.

As confounding as our current time is, it holds the greatest gift of all, which is a presence so dear that it took two thousand years of pressure to crack it open. You and I are of the generation to hit bottom. That’s why people are walking around with that dazed look.

Yes, things are heavy on planet Earth. We broke out in the sixties, then got lured back into our addiction to illusion. Politics is a joke.

One out of every four children is on food stamps (2012). Precious species are disappearing each day. The rainforest is being splintered into chopsticks. Mass media is a bizarre parody of itself.

But when you get to the bottom and refuse to give in to the pressure, refuse to turn away, condemn, or turn bitter, but instead awaken your full presence in an outrageous act of radical love, you catalyze a soulful force that will not be stopped. You burn with the light of the bright ones.

Once you crack the illusion of you being a minuscule force in a hopelessly gigantic universe and pour out your love in a heartfelt offering to existence, your fuller arrival becomes the antidote to nothing counting.

Then the world changes because you penetrate through its hypnotic appearance to its fertile inner nature. You consummate your flirtation with existence into full sacred intercourse, which cross-fertilizes both species and births the New Earth right out from under the calcified crust of the old.

This is a great lesson of our time. We’re reclaiming the inner from the outer, turning on every place we’ve turned off inside.”

Ellias Lonsdale, Cosmic Weather Report: Notes from the Edge of the Universe

Off and on I feel as if we’re living in a movie.

It seems surreal at times because most of us never imagined this pandemic, or this racial revolution, or this political divide, or this level of climate emergency, much less all of them occurring at the same time.

The word apocalypse kept coming to mind. So I looked up the origins of the word.

From apocalypse (n.) late 14c., “revelation, disclosure,” from Church Latin apocalypsis “revelation,” from Greek apokalyptein “uncover, disclose, reveal,” from apo “off, away from” (see apo-) + kalyptein “to cover, conceal,” from PIE root *kel- (1) “to cover, conceal, save.”

The Christian end-of-the-world story is part of the revelation in John of Patmos’ book “Apokalypsis” (a title rendered into English as pocalipsis c. 1050, “Apocalypse” c. 1230, and “Revelations” by Wyclif c. 1380).

Its general sense in Middle English was “insight, vision; hallucination.” The meaning “a cataclysmic event” is modern (not in OED 2nd ed., 1989); apocalypticism “belief in an imminent end of the present world” is from 1858.

As agent nouns, “author or interpreter of the ‘Apocalypse,'” apocalypst (1829), apocalypt (1834), and apocalyptist (1824) have been tried. So from the Greek: “apo” means “un” or “off”. Kalyptein (the root of “calypse”) means “cover or conceal”.

Apo = un. Calypse =c over. UN-COVER.

So that rings true, right? That we are in a time of “un-covering”.

What is being uncovered? On the outside?

– our centuries-long intentional global racism oppressing many people of color.

– our deep political corruption.

– the Covid-19 pandemic laying bare the epic contrast between what we thought of as
“the American Dream” and the tragic economic inequality we see now.

– We have been told by a 2018 UN report that the world has only a few years left (about 10, now) to deal with climate change – or face blistering heat waves, rising seas, and a ‘shocking rise in hunger.’

Sounds like end-of-the-world stuff, on a third-dimensional level. Maybe it is. No one really knows. On emotional and spiritual levels things are also being uncovered.

In this apocalypse, many I know are uncovering their own depths, including past unprocessed traumas, outdated thoughts, and feeling patterns.

There is a less habitual distraction, more conscious thought available in each choice, more observation of our own experience (unless we are in addiction or mental illness processes).

What is being uncovered is our souls, what I call our Sacred Selves. Our “original instructions”, our spiritual GPS. That is a gift of these times.

We are in such external uncertainty that we’re more likely to turn within for guidance.

That is the great opportunity of our times. To connect maybe more deeply than ever before in our current lives to our own divinity, and hear all the guidance therein. It’s a good thing because we need our highest guidance now.

Sacred Self Told Me to Get Arrested

Sacred Self Told Me to Get Arrested

While you’re listening to your own Sacred Self, whatever you call it, the question is “are you going to do what it says”?

I was incensed in early February when the US Senate let the current White House occupant off the hook during the impeachment trial.

I wasn’t surprised, but I experienced strong Holy Rage, which can be one of the catalyst messages from Sacred Self. I ranted, wept, and meditated. I determined to act when it felt right.

A few days later an opportunity came to do something drastic, to join in an Extinction Rebellion Rally on Valentine’s Day in Asheville, to show our love for the Earth, and light up for the collective consciousness our true climate emergency.

So I volunteered to get arrested. It felt right. It felt like one of a million small things we are Guided to do, to hold the light, to set and strengthen the blueprint for love going forward. Many have done many acts toward love and justice. This was one of mine.
