The Cathars Are Returning

The Cathars Are Returning

The Cathars are waking me up in the middle of the night.

Who are the Cathars? Well, the history about them is piecemeal and unreliable, mostly because they were almost completely exterminated by the Roman Catholic Church. And, as you know, the exterminators write the history.

So intuitive research and 4 am channeling is what I have to go on. Read on, take what fits for you and leave the rest.

The Cathars were a group of spiritually sovereign Gnostic Christians who lived in the Middle Ages in parts of southern France, Italy, and Spain.

The Cathars didn’t think they needed an intercessory in the form of a priest to contact their own Divinity. They believed in reincarnation and the transmigration of souls. They taught illiterate people to read, and shared their own sacred writings with everyone, at a time when the Catholic church would only let selected wealthy people read their version of the Bible. The Cathars had women as teachers and adepts.

Plus, and this was a big no-no, they followed the teachings of Mary Magdalene in France, after the Resurrection, teaching what they called “The Way of Love”, based on Yeshua’s original ministry. And they thought Magdalene was a spiritual teacher in her own right.

So right there you can see a bunch of reasons the Catholic Church wanted them dead. The Cathars also apparently got very popular. Way too much competition for the Holy Roman Church.

There was one single day in 1209, (July 22nd to be precise), when it is said that 20,000 humans were massacred in the city of Beziers, France. Arnoud Amalrc, a henchman of the then-Pope Innocent III, wrote:

“Indeed, because there is no strength nor is there cunning against God, while discussions were still going on with the barons about the release of those in the city who were deemed to be Catholics, the servants and other persons of low rank and unarmed attacked the city without waiting for orders from their leaders.

To our amazement, crying “to arms, to arms!”, within the space of two or three hours they crossed the ditches and the walls and Béziers was taken. Our men spared no one, irrespective of rank, sex or age, and put to the sword almost 20,000 people. After this great slaughter the whole city was despoiled and burnt, as divine vengeance miraculously raged against it.[6]”

So that was 1209. In 1244 following an 8-or-so month siege at Montsegur, over a hundred Cathars were given the choice to either convert to Catholicism or be burned. They chose their spiritual sovereignty and integrity, and walked laughing and singing into the flames.

They knew they’d be back. Their principle of the equality of all humans in the sight of God would be back. Their belief that sacredness is for all, even women and peasants of all skin tones. And that each human has their own unique connection to God/dess/Whatever you call it.

Then, in August of 1321, an educated Cathar named Guillaume Belibaste was said to be the last Cathar immolated by the mercenaries paid by the Catholic Church.

As he was burning, he declared a prophecy, which to all accounts is:

Al cap dels sèt cent ans, verdejara lo laurèl.” (In the language of Occitan.)

Rough translation:

The laurel will flourish again in 700 years, and we will return!”

The Laurel bush was the symbol of immortality and love. So this meant that the Cathars and their principles will return.

It’s now 700 years later. 1321-2021.

So, the Cathars are returning.

In the middle of the night, at least for me. They “told” me to offer small intimate Tribes, telling their stories, helping open the portal for others to connect with the sacred, egalitarian, sovereign spiritual frequencies. Those groups are, so far, amazing and heartening, and moving the needle in human consciousness toward unconditional love.

It’s pretty miraculous. Are you Called to join us? Check it out and sign up for notifications of these Tribes.

Sacred Self Activist & Prayer Tribes Coming

Sacred Self Activist & Prayer Tribes Coming

The desecration of the United States capitol on 1/6/2021 is a huge trigger for “we the people” to stand up and express our love for all beings.

It was an attack on democracy, which, while it hasn’t been fully executed, is still the closest blueprint we know to manifest the equality of all beings and “liberty and justice for all”.

Those principles – equality, liberty, and justice for all – are the outward expression of the inner knowing of Oneness, the spiritual concept we all know in our hearts is true.

Each of us is an equal spark of the One Divine force. Whatever you want to call that. There is no spiritual justification for racism, sexism, white supremacy, economic oppression, or any system which treats any being worse than any other.

This is why I have no conflict with “being political.” Some people feel uncomfortable with spiritual folks or institutions expressing their principles in the world of politics.

I am completely comfortable with it. We as human beings have strong emotions and spiritual guidance to help us deal with *all* of life’s challenges, not just apolitical ones.

The picture above is in NYC, where I used to live, on the court building in Brooklyn. It always moved me as a monument to justice.

In addition to being a soul-based counselor and singer, I am a political and social activist. It all fits together for me, and is what my Sacred Self calls me to.

Many other mystics – those who strive to hear their own sacred guidance – are also called to strive for justice in the political arena.

To embody and spread our love for all beings in the Oneness through activism. In addition, I strongly know that prayer is a very powerful form of activism.

The violation of the United States Capitol yesterday, in the name of one man’s greed and fear, blew me into trauma response. I think I am not alone.

I have worked through some of it into activism and what Valerie Kaur calls “divine rage”.

Kaur says,” The aim of Divine rage is not vengeance. The aim of Divine rage is to re-order the world. I believe our task now. . .is to harness our rage; to channel that energy into creative and nonviolent action. “

I have created Sacred Self Activist Tribes to support you who want a container (and company) as you recover, re-group, and channel your feelings into whatever Sacred Activism you are called to.

Sign up for my email newsletter below. All highest blessings to *all*;  to every single one of us.

I believe and feel that this is a time when we the people have a great deal of power.

By speaking out persistently and confidently we can shape both reality and public perception toward truth and justice. Join me.

Sacred Self Told Me to Get Arrested

Sacred Self Told Me to Get Arrested

While you’re listening to your own Sacred Self, whatever you call it, the question is “are you going to do what it says”?

I was incensed in early February when the US Senate let the current White House occupant off the hook during the impeachment trial.

I wasn’t surprised, but I experienced strong Holy Rage, which can be one of the catalyst messages from Sacred Self. I ranted, wept, and meditated. I determined to act when it felt right.

A few days later an opportunity came to do something drastic, to join in an Extinction Rebellion Rally on Valentine’s Day in Asheville, to show our love for the Earth, and light up for the collective consciousness our true climate emergency.

So I volunteered to get arrested. It felt right. It felt like one of a million small things we are Guided to do, to hold the light, to set and strengthen the blueprint for love going forward. Many have done many acts toward love and justice. This was one of mine.
